Self-compassion is at the heart of all Clara’s clinical work. Clara’s main goal is to help each client feel more safe with and within themselves. Clara uses evidence-based practices with a balance of intuitive practices to support the whole client. Clara is a certified EMDR Therapist and believes in the natural healing power of the body, brain and spirit. She is a collaborative practitioner and acknowledges that we all struggle through different points in our lifetime, and uses what she learned from her own challenges to support her clients feel connected and safe. Humor and whimsy are also important parts of her presence.

Service has been an important part of Clara’s journey. She completed 2 years of AmeriCorps before attending grad school. Before founding Sacred Integration, Clara worked with local community mental health agencies and served vulnerable populations through home-based and school-based programs in the Denver area.

Clara is a life-long learner and self-identified “therapy nerd.” She has dual Master of Social Work and Master in Public Health degrees from the University of Michigan. Clara is currently training to be an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in order to support other therapists grow their work and expand access to EMDR.
